I took the weekend off. I hadn’t really intended to, but we ended up doing some work around the house. Geeky Girl returned from a long time away so we did some things with her, and I just decided not to squeeze it in.
Today’s coding is a little bit of a cheat, but it had to be done. I wrote 3 or 4 little graphics demos for my 7th graders. I created some interactive art and some animations. The interesting thing about doing these is that there are constraints. If I was doing these for myself, the sky would be the limit. I’d push my capabilities, but there are things I can’t approach when dealing with younger kids: data structures are mostly out as is working with objects. So I tried to do some interesting things without getting too complicated. Below are some screen shots.
