Like everyone else in the northeast, we’re preparing for Sandy. So far, we still have electricity, cable and Internet. The basement is still dry. We have water in the fridge. Thanks to a weekend party, we have a ton of food. We put water in the fridge. The rain has been coming down since 8 p.m. The wind has picked up. We’re out of school today. I suspect we’ll be out tomorrow. We’re supposed to leave town on Thursday for a wedding. I’m washing clothes while we have power. I’m crossing my fingers that I get through most of it.
Watching the local news is amusing. Nothing that exciting is happening, but they’re doing wall to wall coverage anyway. So they’re talking to random people on the street, shelter organizers, and weather people. It’s a little wacky.
It is a big storm for sure. We’ll see you on the other side.

Good luck, and be safe.
We’re still recovering from Irene.
Praying for you and your family, Ms Laura. We look forward to hearing the good news from you when worst has passed.
